Alan Ratcliffe

Alan Ratcliffe is Head of Strategic and Commercial Procurement at
Cumbria County Council where he is responsible for the development of
corporate procurement policy, frameworks and procedures, and ensuring
the Council's procurement practices achieve value for money and
deliver tangible sustainable outcomes for our communities.

Cumbria County Council is proud of its long-standing commitment to
Fairtrade, and in 2006 became only the second county to achieve
Fairtrade status. They work with a range of stakeholders to ensure
their policy commitment is translated to positive actions.
