Stella Carmichael

Stella Carmichael is the council officer
at Newcastle City Council that deals
with all matters related to Fairtrade.

Her role is to promote Fairtrade throughout the City and develop links with other
Fairtrade Towns and Cities in the UK,
and particularly throughout the region.

She organises the monthly steering group
called the Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership.
This group consists of members from the
community, business and councillors.

The Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership
organise events to raise awareness
of the importance of supporting
Fairtrade.   Audiences have included
local businesses, schools, students,
families, Union members, community
groups and all members of the public
