Saturday 31st July, 10.30 - 5.00 Hadrian's Wall Walking Challenge 2010.
Shared Interest Foundation is organising a Hadrian’s Wall Walking
Challenge through a beautiful part of Northumberland National Park to
raise funds for its projects and to celebrate the Wall’s recent
achievement of Fairtrade status. The Foundation will be asking
participants to raise sponsorship by walking a 7.5 mile route that is
intended to be both challenging and rewarding. A reasonable level of
fitness will be required as there are parts of the route that are steep
and the terrain will be uneven and soft in places. The route will begin
at Housesteads Roman Fort, taking participants past the iconic Sycamore
Gap and brooding Crag Lough, and following a dramatic section of the
wall, complete with Milecastles and stunning views. Your support would
be much appreciated. To discuss, please call Louise McLaren on 0191 233
9112 or email louise.mclaren@shared-interest.com. Thank you!
